Yesterday, my friends, we drank deeply from the sweet cup of victory. Our wily foe fought long and valiantly but we crushed them and left their womenfolk lamenting and homesteads burning in our wake.

Cold and windy night so thank you to all who made it such a good evening. It would be unfair to single anyone other than myself out but particular thanks to Dave R for putting his hat into the ring and John Bl for finally answering my telephone messages and stepping into the hole in the team at late notice. I think each pair was new so well done all for gelling so quickly.

Next match is at HOME on Tuesday 31^st May at 7. Please let me know if you are NOT available for that date. I want to build on the momentum of this win with a sparkling display at Fortress Essex so I need the strongest team we can muster. Don’t make me pick myself again…….
